ELYSIAN PARK MASTER PLAN

Preserving the eastern tip of the Santa Monica Mountains.
As the City's oldest park, Elysian Park quietly persists as a refuge where Angelenos can experience nature in the City. By enhancing and conserving the Park's recreational and natural open spaces, an improved quality of life for millions is ensured.

Urban trail connections, inspirational viewpoints, picnic areas and improved recreation facilities provide new outdoor opportunities for both nearby residents and area visitors. The Master Plan envisions new connections to the on-going greenway development along the Los Angeles River from Elysian Valley and Rio de Los Angeles Park to the Los Angeles State Historic Park on the edge of downtown.

CLIENT: City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation & Parks
